Here is a little video of Doyle. At the beginning he starts by stepping into shoes with an assist from Dad. He is fascinated by grown up shoes. (He also likes to take socks off of Dad in the evenings. Doyle thinks socks should be off if you do not have your shoes on.) Once he walks out of the flip flops, then Mom starts saying words as follows:Grandad, all gone, thank you, Go Sox, Grandad , and bye bye. He does pretty well and ends with blowing a kiss. Doyle once was big on blowing kisses to everyone but does not do that as much anymore. Also he is on week 3 of his preschool. He started on 8/24/09 and has been doing pretty good. He still cries a little in the morning when dropped off, but stops within 5 minutes of leaving. He also seems to actually be taking naps pretty consistently. (Although one day he was entertaining the staff at nap time, but he was quiet during his comedic routine.) His "Little Tykes" room is brand new at the preschool as the minimum age was 2 years prior. So the room has been freshly painted, new chairs and cots for all. The hours have a little more flexibility than his previous care. All in all it is going pretty well.
